Our Commitment to You

Soul Matters believes building relationships is essential to providing good service.

Connection and conversation form the foundation we build from; in order to know where you want to go, we must discover the why and how of what makes your journey unique. Once we identify your goals and determine our role in your success, we then are able to develop a plan of action and suggest services to support you.

Building capacity and community is something we value, and if there is an aspect of your wellness that we are not able to assist with, we will do our best to connect you with resources to help. Our goal is that every interaction you have with us is a meaningful one.

Our Story

Soul Matters has been developing since 2009 when the first seed was planted in Nicaragua. That was when the first group of women were led on an journey of self-discovery and adventure for a retreat unlike anything they had experienced before. From this fist group, the vision was born of creating opportunities where radical self care is a natural outcome.

Since then, the unfolding has come to include all the offerings you see available today and will continue to grow in response to the needs of our calling!

Meet Sandra

I spent the first 25+ years of my career working with families and individuals in reaching goals through encouraging their self-discovery and offering resources to support growth and personal development. This experience expanded my ability to facilitate learning in both 1:1 and group settings. I am guided by a strong belief that we each hold our own answers and are the experts in creating our own unique sense of success in our lives. When I am given the honour of being part of this journey, my approach is one of respectful and curious coach in finding the right questions and reflections to assist in delving deeper to awareness.

My “professional” yogic journey started in 2020 when I decided to shift careers and completed Ayurvedic Spa training. Being the sister science of yoga, this study of Ayurveda to understand the doshas and chakra energy meshed well with my years working in the field of social work, as I have always found being part of another’s wellness journey to be very fulfilling. Having led international wellness retreats since 2009, the call of yoga teacher training was becoming stronger, and I finally answered this winter. In April 2024 I completed my 200 hour YTT in Nepal where I was blessed to study under incredibly knowledgeable and gifted gurus. It was here that my interest in sound healing led me to also complete Sound Therapy training in both Vedic (Himalayan) and Tibetan styles.

I am thrilled to now be combing my experience in supporting others in their “self-journey” with the passion I have for creating meaningful travel experiences.

We look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
